Team Verse November 2018

Romans 8 v 28 says “and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Sometimes in life, things are tough and we feel we are being thrown things from all angles. We may feel that our heads are only just above water. How can this be for our good? How can struggling be God’s purpose for our lives? Yet we know that not only is God our Heavenly Father, but He is also our Creator, He is our maker, therefore He knows us better than we know ourselves. He wrote the handbook – The Bible- by which we live our lives so we trust Him and remind ourselves that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We can believe Him when He says, “yes even the hard stuff is for your good” and we can be encouraged as whatever we face, we are not alone, He is in control and He is beside us.

Team Verse March 2018

Hi, I’m Chris, one of the SWBF team.  My role in the team is admin.  Taking bookings; sending and answering emails; taking minutes etc.

A verse that has been very much in the forefront of my mind recently is Psalm 46 vs 10 which says “Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth”.  In our busy and hectic lives, it is easy to get swept along with the moment .  We need to get everything done yesterday , we want it sorted immediately.  We can get a bit like that with God too, wanting Him to give us an answer to our problems and dilemmas now.  Sometimes He has to say to us “Be still”.  It is only then that we can hear His still small voice and  know He is God and we can see His hand, not ours, working His will out in our lives and indeed in the nations and the earth.  His will will be done.
